The Coatings for Africa Symposium and Exhibition has grown from strength to strength ever since it was first held at the Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg in October 2004. Held once every two years, it has grown from 260 delegates in 2004 to 330 in 2006 and 350 in 2008. An even higher attendance is expected on 15-17th September 2010 and registration will open soon.

This is the only event that brings together the South African Paint Industry and its raw material suppliers in a combined symposium and exhibition. The event is organised jointly by two associations’ viz. OCCA (Oil and Colour Chemists Association) and SAPMA (South African Paint Manufacturers Association). Speakers of both local and international standing and reputation will help draw the decision-makers in the paint and allied industries together at this scenic venue.

Exhibitors will be encouraged by the attendance and enthusiasm of delegates at both the 2006 and 2008 events. One of the main reasons for the success of the exhibition was the fact that it is set up in such a way that the exhibitors are guaranteed maximum exposure.

A Golf tournament is arranged for the 15th September 2010 at the Champagne Sports Resort highly acclaimed golf course. The quality of the course together with the majestic backdrop of the Drakensberg ensures a fully-booked field with many attractive prizes up for grabs. There are various sponsorship opportunities available for companies to consider, both at the golf and the symposium itself.

Papers presented will provide delegates with information and opportunities to address the challenges facing the paint industry.

This biennial event is also the primary opportunity to raise funds in support of the respective Association’s education and training initiatives. Education and Training are key elements of the Associations raison d'être and objective of ensuring that the South African coatings industry maintains “World Class” standards of technical proficiency. To this end we are offering a number of sponsorship packages (see attached) which we urge you to consider in support of these initiatives.

  • Sponsorship of the Welcome Reception 
  • Full rights to Brand Welcome Reception venue
  • 5 minute speech at the reception, mention in programme and an exhibition stand of 3m x 2m.

Gala Dinner – Shared/Exclusive

  • Shared sponsorship of the gala dinner
  • This package is limited to 2 sponsors and includes full rights to brand room and a mention in the programme
  • R25 000.00 per shared sponsor.

Symposium Advertisement

  • The symposium and exhibition will be advertised in various industry related journals and magazines.
  • In sponsoring a full page colour advert, your company or organizations logo and details will be included in the advertisement.
  • R10 000.00

Exhibition

The symposium will also include a limited exhibition component for industry to exhibit their products and services. The Symposium Organizing Committee will ensure that sufficient time for viewing is given for the delegates to interact with the exhibitors.  We urge those companies that are interested in exhibiting to contact the symposium secretariat early, as space will be sold on a first come first serve basis. 

The Exhibitor package includes:

  • 1 x 3m by 2m Exhibition Stand ( Octonorm shell scheme walls )
  • Fascia with company name
  • 1x plug point
  • 2 x spotlights
  • 1 x trestle table and 2 chairs

All above costs quoted include VAT at 14% unless stated otherwise.
